Police Benefitted By Charity Golf Tournament And Roswell In Returns By Fire Personnel

On April 9 Charles Booker Annual Golf Classic will return for a third year to the country club of Roswell.

Hanny Alexander Golf Committee Chair said the tournament will be “The one of the largest fundraisers that our non-profit does.”

This tournament will benefit the Roswell Fire and Police foundation it is a nonprofit established for a firefighter and he was terribly injured and not able to work for the months. He was injured in a car wreck.

In 2004 a rallied started off “firefighter family” to raise the funds and help his brother who was badly injured and not able to work for months.

On Facebook page it was declared “That his family has gone through tough times and after that it was decided that this fund will be kept for others if anyone others need this.”

In 2012 Roswell Fire Foundation was made and with this foundation “It is to add the ability for Roswell Police Officers if any assistance is needed at the time of help.”

Board of Directors Member Alexander said that “The entire board and businesses is set-up to help and we raise money for Roswell Fire and Police personnel if they required at the time of need.”

On April 9, the breakfast and tournament registration begins at 8:30 a.m. which will be followed by opening ceremony and after that shotgun start at 10 a.m. With this festivity are also concluding which include dinner and after that award ceremony at 4:30 p.m.

He said “The title sponsor will be Anderson Center for Hair and they also have major sponsors such as Carl Black and Hancock Claims Consultants. Also, everyone’s support will be definitely appreciated.

$250 will be the cost of a single player and Country Club of Roswell is at 2500 Club Springs Drive.
